Initial storyboard

     Hey guys!

So my group began planning our storyboard for the project! This was a bit difficult and we might make some changes to it, but here is what we have so far.

    

    

This is out first page. In the beginning it'll be a black screen fading into the scene. It begins with the "grunge" character doing home work. We will have a medium close up throughout this shot, along with the home work shot. With the homework shot, we wanted the scene to help tell the credits, so on the homework page it has the actor's name! Pretty cool idea right? 

After messing up on her homework, the "grunge character" throws her scratch paper off screen. Through out this scene we want music to compliment the character, but played very low. So like rock music? Maybe even metal?

This is our second page. The first scene is the paper missing the trash can, but it is the other girl, "nerd girl", picking it up. This is a close up shot and match cut. Next is a medium shot of the "nerd" girl's back, where we can see some of her room decoration that will tell the audience who is her character is. Like posters of science or math jokes. Similar to "grunge girl" we will have low music in the background, like classical music, to help describe the character's interest. We are still continuing with how we are going to introduce the credits, so instead of paper, it'll be on "nerd's" computer screen. That shot will be close up. 

This is our third page. Now we see "nerd" reach out for a set of headphones. I tried to draw it in a low angle, with a focus on the hand and headphones. Another match cut to the second scene where "preppy" girl grabs the headphone instead, a close up shot. At this point it is silent for a moment until "Preppy" puts on the headphones, which transitions to a louder sound, as if the audience were to put on the headphones. We then cut to "Preppy" laying back on her bead, still with the headphones on. This will be an overhead shot. The music playing will be a bit sadder and melancholic, contributing to the character's mood.

This is our fourth page. Now we cut to "Preppy" rolling over on her side, a medium close up shot. She is focused for a moment until it shifts onto the paper beside her. It is then cut to "Nerd" and "Grunge" looking at a paper outside. They had a sad look on their face until they turn to each other with a reassuring smile. These will be a close up shot, with a change of a more happier and livelier music.

This is our last page. "Nerd" and "Grunge" throw the paper to the side and we see them running with excitement in the horizon. We see a close up shot of the paper and the picnic set up, focusing on the foreground as the paper falls to the ground. We then cut to a shot of just the paper, with the name of the trailer, another close up shot. It then fades to black.
