Preparing to film
Welcome back guys!
Today, I wanted to explain what each member will be doing, and the overall game plan for the project.
Actors:
Obviously, my team, including myself, will be acting in the trailer. However, we want to include background characters for our classmates to participate in.
Bryanna- "Preppy" girl
Malavika- "Nerd" girl
Anais- "Grunge" girl
Costumes:
I feel that this will be an obstacle we are going to face as we don't want to spend too much money on clothes we may never wear again. The plan is to go thrifting to save money and potentially find pieces from the early 2000's, as that is the aesthetic we want to achieve.
Props:
Similar to costumes, I fear this might be difficult to find due to the aesthetic we wish to achieve. Thankfully our parents still have objects from our youth that we may find beneficial, like an old phone or computer!. If worse comes to worse, we can find objects from thrift stores.
Locations:
I feel as if this is the easiest part of the whole project, as we do not need many locations. Since each character is gonna be in their own room, we can record in our own rooms. There is a scene that takes place in nature, which we can easily film at our nearby park.
Scripts:
Thankfully, our script will be more direction based, as there will be no talking throughout our video. Also, not to brag but after years in the Cambridge program, we are pretty good writers, so this will be a task that will include a lot of brain power, but will be one of the easiest parts.
Film equipment:
This might be the scariest part of the whole project, since none of us have experience working with cameras. We want a nice recording of our project, not a homemade video type. Thankfully we have multiple options that could improve our video quality; our friend lending us their camera/their hands to record our video, our phones
